Marjorie Jean Melo, 45, passed away on Tuesday, November 22 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Frisco after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 24, 1971 in Warwick, Rhode Island, the daughter of Jeancarol (Reilly) Roach and stepdaughter of Stephen Roach.

Marjorie graduated from Tollgate High School in Warwick, class of '89. She was a graduate of Taunton Beauty Academy and a hairstylist for over 25 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Nuno C. Melo; her three children, Ian, Julia, and Adam Melo of Little Elm, TX; her siblings Carol Mitchell of Warwick, RI, twin sister Marilyn Mitchell Smith of East Greenwich, RI, and her brother William J. Mitchell of Newport, RI; and her parents in-law, Luciano and Fatima Melo of Taunton, MA, sisters in-law Dora Leandres (husband David Leandres), Tania Melo and brother in-law Randy Melo.

She was preceded in death by her father William F. Mitchell; fraternal grandparents Marjorie and Ronald Wood; and her maternal grandparents John and Carol Reilly, all formerly of Coventry, RI.

Funeral services are being arranged by Stonebriar Funeral Home,10375 Preston Rd. Frisco TX 75033. Visitation will be Sunday, November 27 from 4-7pm at Stonebriar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 28 at 11am at Prestonwood Baptist Church North Campus, 1001 W. Prosper Trail, Prosper, TX 75078. Followed by burial at Ware Cemetery, 3707 1st St E, Prosper TX.
