Joseph Raymond Drury passed away on October 9, 2016 in Plano, Texas with his family by his bedside. Joe was born in Crystal City, MO on July 20, 1939, the middle child with four sisters. He grew up in Festus, MO where he and his sisters shared many adventures and experiences that helped shape his character and who he later became.

Family and friends recalled Joe as patriotic, a man with an impeccable work ethic, and the quintessential family man. Joe was funny, an amazing singer, and a loving man who found peace while spending time in the woods.

Joe graduated from Festus High School in 1957. He worked for the US Forest Service for two years and worked for the US Army in a civilian capacity on the Apache Program for 33 years.

Joe's favorite places to be were with his family or out in the woods. He loved hunting and fishing, and he raised hunting dogs when he was growing up. A man of eclectic tastes, he learned a love of Barbershop singing from his father Raymond. He honed his skills with his father at his side as coach, while singing in The Drury Four Quartet with his sisters. Joe soaked up all the information he could find regarding the Civil War and spent many an hour visiting battlefields and other historic sites. Joe's favorite movie was "The Darkat the Top of the Stairs" and of course, his favorite music was Barbershop. His nicknames included "Joey" and "Boogo".

The love of Joe's life was always his bride, Donna Kay who he married in 1965 and was happily married to for 51 years.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Joseph Drury and his mother, Lola Belle Johnston Drury. His legacy continues on through his wife, Donna Drury nee Gensler of Little Elm, TX; his son, William Raymond Drury of Little Elm, TX; his daughter, Stefani Kay Drury of St. Peters, MO; his sister, Joan Bruhn and her husband, Robert of Little Elm, TX; his sister Rita Lovelace and her husband Thomas of Festus, MO; his sister, Carol French and her husband, Dale of Festus, MO; his sister Julie Lopez and her husband, Michael of Terre du Lac, MO; his grandson, Joey and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was loved beyond measure and will continue to be so.
