Obituary

We've come to realize that some people are timeless and ephemeral. Timeless people leave a mark, a legacy if you will. Our Grandmother, Maria Belen Gonzalez, was timeless.

Our Granny Bel stood 5'4" but that didn't stop her from commanding the attention and respect of all of us.

She taught us that family is family and business is business. Granny has influenced us in so many ways, it would be hard to recount them all. She was always there for us. When we were kids she'd walk us to and from...

When we were kids she'd walk us to and from school. She'd help us with our homework. She was also the best cook. She made so many delicious meals. More importantly, she was very spiritual and taught us that nothing is impossible with God in our life.

She has 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. When we became adults, spending time with her was always important to us. We would get lunch and catch up. We would always ask her advice on everything. We truly were very close. We cherish every moment we spent with her.

There was never a dull moment with Granny around. She was full of life! She loved to sing and dance. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Granny always gave it to us straight. If we were wrong, she would let us know. She had strong opinions and convictions. You always knew where she stood, even if you preferred not to know. She taught us that you should always find reasons to celebrate. As a family we always found reasons to go out and celebrate our time together. Now with our own family, we have carried on the the tradition. We love to celebrate!

Granny had the biggest heart. She loved to help others in need. She was a very giving and caring person. Thank you Granny for the countless hours you spent with us. We are who we are because of you.

We will spend the rest of our life celebrating you and the things we learned from you.
